Position: Shop Administrative Assistant

Job purpose

Wilson’s Transportation Ltd. is a Victoria-based bus transportation company. We have been operating since 1962 and currently employ more than 150 people in various divisions, including bus charters and rentals, the BC Ferries Connector, the Victoria (YYJ) Airport Shuttle, Gray LIne Tours, Capital City Station and others.

Reporting to the Purchasing and Inventory Manager, the Shop Administrative Assistant is responsible for the administrative tasks related to the mechanic shop and yard.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Daily time sheet entries
  • Parts data entries
  • Purchase order entries
  • Defect report entries
  • Maintaining fleet records
  • Occasional parts pick up
  • Maintaining lost and found
  • Occasional parts and supplies ordering
  • Coffee machine and area upkeep
  • Other duties as required


  • minimum 2 years administrative experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team oriented with the capacity to be self directed and driven
  • Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license
